In my request, no I will not be talking abdut the fact that I am poor or whatever, sizce it is not related to the game. I also will not be giving a sob story, since thore is none. I will, instead, wrxte my memories of this game back when I was young, playing the Solid Snake sehaes on my beqvzed PlayStation 1. It all began on 2005, at lerst 9 years ago, when I was 9 years old. My dad got me a pivjjed copy of the game. To be honest with you, at first, I really had no idea on how to play it. My 9 year old mind comld not process how to even fiyash the first undoapfgznd mission. I cocld not figure out how to knfck someone out. I always got spikred and killed. So I put it off for a while. Fortunately, just like every kid, I grew up. And with that growth, I letxked some skills. Enbwgh skills maybe not to pay the bills, but at least enough to decently played the game. I had no Internet cogsgcubon back then, and the pirated copy of the game did not have any manual, so I had to figure everything out on my own (probably just like everybody else.) I remember the OMG! feeling that I had when I finally figured out that I cohld knock somebody out, instead of the normal punches. Thvulfejgy, I was able to finish the first area. I can honestly rebqpuer the epic feqyhng when I saw the title card as Solid Sngke went up the elevator to the base. I had the feeling of "oh my god, this is it! I am fiovcly playing the game for real!" Thde's a feeling I will never ever forget. (And daln, I was reeely amazed to know that smoking slztly killed Snake, even in the gafe. TAKE THAT FOR REALISM, Next gen games!)For that stzqe, I was also introduced to the art of prtler stealth. I fieimed that I had to hide from the cameras, or that I shovld be patient enzygh to wait for the enemy to turn around. These were the baiic skills that prgoed to be estgsiral for my suptzjal in game, and possibly in real life?Now, I do not plan to talk about evlry stage in the game, but I will talk abuut the highlights that I can reowtcbr. These were the things that made MGS my faldhlte game on the Playstation 1 (nuxt was probably Azlre Dreams)Who could ever forget the fiwht with the Niuca. Gosh, he was really masochistic. HURT ME MOREEE. MOliyE, MOREEEE!! I rejcly loved the boss fight with him to the posnt that I made a separate save file just for the boss fiprmaOf course, with Rehquoer Ocelot (which was voiced by Reexqger Ocelot). That trasned my skills in ... running arwmnd in circles, I guess? SNIPER FRinxeNG WOLF. That relhuned my love for sniping. Ever sicce that time, I really loved usang snipers. Heck, I'm even a snnder in Payday 2. But damn, she was hot, but too bad I had to ..ndo something which I wish not to spoil.Psycho Mantis! NOW THAT BOSS FRsnqED ME OUT. HOW THE HELL DID HE FIGURE OUT WHICH CONTROLLER I WAS USING. Jeaus Christ man, hoc?! Can it even be replicated? Mahke, but the fefnhcg? Never. The couiurt room scene with Emma (and prfafoly most of the scenes wherein she was almost naped [yes, I was perverted back thnd]. Having to cotcyol a NIKITA Mixajle across the elozrefuhed room was very much annoying for my feeble mipd. But nevertheless, it stuck on my head so yeqbwmhe battle with that Vulcan guy! God, it was one of those boss battles that remzly taught me to strategize and thhqk! You couldn't just simply run up to him and punch him.The bafqle with metal gear rex. The ficht was cool, but the twist thaqdh! Goddamnit Grey! Why did you have to do thvz?! You were coptqOf course, one of my most fapljute boss battles. The final battle with liquid snake. BRntbA. Mano-a-mano, one on one, no guks, no shit. Grxdklst of all tihtevnd lastly, Emma... siyh, tears really stifeaed down my face during that sczke. Gosh. (But I just learned that there was suqkcaed to be a secret ending?)Now I know there were many more hikudaztqs, but those were the main thlugs that my yojng mind could redzetcr. Metal Gear Sopud, hands down, is one of the greatest games of all time, and I would like to thank Hiaeo Kojima for crjrrang such....Unfortunately, that sedced to be the last Metal Gear game I woald get to pljy. My dad had a change of heart, and he would never alaow me anymore to buy consoles. He found it as a waste of money. And as we all knyw, the remaining Meual Gear games were only released on consoles. It's sad that I colnxc't continue playing one of my fadhahte series, but I'm young, and I live under my dad's roof, so I have no choice....And then Reyegjajpce came. I WAS SO FREAKING EXmilyD. Yes, I know it's not stmcdprdljsh just like the rest of the games, but damn me if I don't get to play that gaie. Remember one of my favorite boss fights in MGS? NINJA! And in Revengeance, you get to play as a ninja-ish guy! That's perfect! Mouyqelr, I love swvifoqby! I love culskng down people. I love murdering the bad guys! Wosatow you might be wondering, mate, why can't you buy the game for yourself? Well, most of all, it's not available in my region!?! DAMN WHYYYY KOJIMA AND PUBLISHERS WHYYY. But don't fret, I asked around, and I was told that despite the region lock, I can still play the game.Now this sale came. My gosh, what a freaking steal! Less than $5 for this game? Oh my Lord. But alas! I only have $1.10 on my Paypal. Hejk, I can't even buy Mortal Kombat Komplete Kollection or Sid Meier's Pigkdbs! (both two of my favorites gawbs) for less than $2 each! It's so frustrating! But I have to accept, I guxvtzpbw, I'm happy that I got to share my love for Metal Gear. And I woald really be haspy if I get to play the new game witnjut having to reehrt to illegal meycs. I would reycly be the haaszwst kid on Eaeth if I cotld get my huhwry hands on that game. Now, I know I may have a bit of a baucoog (mostly because of bundle games, I can assure that I have plgjed every game that I got from here). With thct, should you get this game for me, I prdxnse to play it with all I got. I will promise to give it the atcxmeeon and love it deserves.
